I was born and raised in Hampton Township, and graduated from Hampton High School in 1985. Approximately 3 months before my graduation, the Township notified the High School indicating they were looking for 3 temporary, part-time clerks. Not knowing what I wanted to do after high school, I took one of those part-time jobs and, as you can see, after 31 years, the rest is history.
After working one year as a part-time clerk, I was hired full-time as the Secretary to the Manager and Clerk of Council. Today, I am the Assistant Township Manager, assisting in the day-to-day administrative operations of the Township, serving as public relations coordinator between the residents and the Township, coordinating and implementing all project tasks as directed by the Municipal Manager, including oversight of the general insurance and workers' compensation program needs of the Township. I also serve in the position of Clerk of Council, coordinating and maintaining all minutes, ordinances / resolutions, and other records of the Township Council.
Personally, I am the youngest of 5 children, all of whom still live in the Pittsburgh area; 3 of us still live in the same neighborhood that we grew up in. In my time away from the Township building, I enjoy golfing, traveling, and spending a lot of time with family and friends.
