Chickens on Residential Properties

Update: On July 28, 2021 Council voted to approve the amendments to the Zoning Ordinance that will allow chickens to be kept on certain residentially zoned properties.  The following links can be used to view the regulations in full and apply for a permit to keep domestic chickens on your property.

THE ZONING HEARING BOARD WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2023 AT 7:30 PM, AT THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING TO HEAR THE FOLLOWING CASE:

CASE NO. 23-02 – The applicants, Francis & Katherine Wymard, are requesting a variance to the Zoning Ordinance, No. 310, ARTICLE XXI, SECTION 310-128, TABLE A, for a proposed detached garage that encroaches on the required 50’ right-of-way setback by approximately 16’, on property located at 3073 Woodland Road.
