Investigating Crimes
The Detective Division of the Township of Hampton Police Department includes one detective who investigates crimes such as thefts, robberies, burglaries, and vandalism where investigation is required to identify suspects or gather information following an initial police report. Once a police report has been filed, a detective will take charge of collecting evidence, questioning witnesses and suspects, and performing other investigative tasks to solve the crime.
