Victor Son has been a member of council since 2004 and
President of council since 2006. Recently re-elected, he is in his 19th year of
public service to the township. The first eight years, beginning in 1996, were
served as the elected Controller. Victor graduated Magna Cum Laude from
Cleveland State University in 1976 with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
A licensed CPA for 38 years (Pennsylvania and Ohio), he
began his career at a national CPA firm. In 1989, after 12 years as controller
for Cleveland developers, Vic moved his family to Hampton to become Chief
Financial Officer for a multi-faceted company involved in restaurants, real
estate and medical development. He is currently CFO for DBC Real Estate
Management, owners and operators of multifamily apartments in western
Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Victor is a member of the AICPA and PICPA, Allegheny
County North Region Tax Collection Committee, Western Pennsylvania and Northeast
Ohio apartment associations and Institute of Real Estate Management. He has been
nominated 5 times for the Distinguished Public Service Award for CPA's by the
PICPA and has submitted testimony to the state legislature on numerous tax and
audit issues. Victor has also served as President and Chairman of the Board for
the Western Chapter of the Pennsylvania Restaurant Association. He has been a
member and served on the Hampton School District Sports Hall of Fame Committee,
School District Finance Advisory Council, St. Ursula's Finance Committee,
Hampton Touchdown Club and Hampton Athletic Association as well as coaching
youth baseball and basketball teams.
Vic is married to Joan, math
department chair at Hampton High School. His first wife, Jody, passed away from
ovarian cancer. Vic's two sons, Vincent and Dominic, and Joan's three daughters,
Denise, Alison and Kristine, were all Hampton graduates.
