  • Thursday, 04/10/2014: DUI Arrest
    While on patrol at approximately 1:00 AM, Police observed a vehicle sitting at a green light headed north on Route 8. Police stopped to check on the welfare of the operator. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. After failing field sobriety tests, the driver was placed under arrest.  Charges will be filed.  


  • Monday, 04/07/2014: Vehicle Crash
    At 3:50 PM, Police responded to the intersection of Mt. Royal Blvd. and Naomi Terrace for a hit and run accident involving a vehicle into a utility pole. Upon arrival, the vehicle and driver were located a short distance from the accident scene. The support pole for a utility pole had been struck and sheared off. Duquesne Light was notified. Mt. Royal Blvd. was shut down between Ferguson Road and Lake Avenue because the pole was blocking Mt. Royal.  The driver was not injured.  


  • Friday, 04/04/2014: Vehicle Crashes
    Hampton Police responded to several vehicle crashes, including a four-car accident which closed down Route 8 between Harts Run Road and Craighead Road for a period of time. There was also a one-vehicle accident at Route 8 and South Pioneer Road, with a vehicle into a pole, causing power outages in the area, including several traffic signals. Another two-vehicle accident took place at the intersection of Sample Road and Wildwood Sample Road. Later in the day, there was another two-vehicle accident at Route 8 and South Pioneer, where a stopped vehicle was rear-ended. 


  • Friday, 04/04/2014: DUI Arrest
    At approximately 10:30 PM, Police were dispatched to Landmark Plaza for a suspicious vehicle parked partially on the grassy area between the parking lot and Route 8.  The car was running, however, the male operator was asleep.  When he finally opened his door he was very confused and officers could detect an odor of alcohol. He was unable to perform field sobriety tests as instructed and was placed under arrest for DUI. 


  • Friday, 03/21/2014: DUI Arrest
    At approximately 1:50 AM, Police observed a vehicle traveling at a very high rate of speed going northbound on Route 8.  The vehicle was clocked at 65 MPH and had trouble maintaining its lane of travel.  A traffic stop was conducted and the operator showed signs of being impaired.  After failing field sobriety tests, the driver was placed into custody. Charges pending.  


  • Friday, 03/21/2014: Possession
    While on patrol at approximately 9:00 PM, Officers located an occupied vehicle parked near an abandoned building on Wildwood Road.  Officers found the three occupants smoking marijuana as well as being in possession of drug paraphernalia.  Charges will be filed.  


  • Thursday, 03/20/2014: Fraud
    A resident reported he received a call from a male claiming to be with the IRS. The caller stated that the resident owed money to the IRS and said the Allison Park Police were coming to arrest him if he didn't send $1800 to the caller through Western Union.  The resident realized this was a scam and disconnected.  Police are reminding people that the IRS would make contact through the mail, not by a phone call.  


  • Monday, 03/17/2014: Theft from Vehicle
    A resident from Canyon Creek Trail reported that sometime overnight, several items were taken from his vehicle parked outside his residence.  No suspects at this time.  Police are reminding residents to keep their vehicles locked at all times.  


  • Thursday, 03/13/2014: Possession
    While on patrol on Duncan Avenue, police observed a truck traveling northbound on Route 8 and go through a steady red light.  Police initiated a traffic stop at Harts Run Road. While speaking to the operator, police detected the odor of marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle.  The driver gave police permission to search the vehicle, at which time suspected marijuana was found, along with drug paraphernalia.  Charges to be filed.  


  • Thursday, 03/13/2014: Possession
    While on patrol on Duncan Avenue, police observed a truck traveling northbound on Route 8 and go through a steady red light.  Police initiated a traffic stop at Harts Run Road. While speaking to the operator, police detected the odor of marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle.  The driver gave police permission to search the vehicle, at which time suspected marijuana was found, along with drug paraphernalia.  Charges to be filed.  


  • Tuesday, 03/11/2014: DUI Arrest
    While on patrol, police observed a vehicle go through a red light on Route 8 at Duncan Avenue.  A traffic stop was conducted and while officers spoke to the driver, he showed signs of impairment.  He was requested to perform several field sobriety tests, all of which he failed.  He was taken into custody and his vehicle was towed.  The driver asked the officers to look through his vehicle for his check book. Upon checking the vehicle, officers located a syringe and 7 suspected stamp bags of Heroine. Charges are pending lab results. 


  • Tuesday, 03/11/2014: Accident - Property Damage
    A resident from South Villa Drive reported that someone ran over his mailbox.  The incident occurred sometime after 7:30 PM.There was some debris from the vehicle laying in the grass.  No suspects at this time.  


  • Monday, 03/10/2014: Theft from Vehicle
    Two residents from the 4400 block of Laurel Oak Drive reported that overnight, someone entered their unlocked vehicles and stole money, shoes, and an XM radio receiver. Both vehicles were parked outside of the residences.  No suspects at this time.  


  • Sunday, 03/02/2014: Vehicle Crash
    Police were dispatched at 10:00 AM to a traffic accident with a vehicle into a ditch on Mt. Royal Boulevard near Duncan Avenue. Upon arrival the vehicle was completely off of the roadway on the southbound side.  The vehicle was over the hillside and the front was in the creek. The operator was not injured, however a tow was needed to remove the car from the hillside.  


  • Sunday, 03/02/2014: Hit and Run Accident
    A resident from Yarmouth Drive reported that an unknown person lost control of their vehicle this morning entering onto his property, striking two trees and damaging ornamental bushes. The person fled the scene and failed to provide their insurance information.  There were numerous parts of the vehicle left at the scene, but nothing that would identify the type or make of the vehicle.  


  • Tuesday, 02/25/2014: Theft
    At 10:45 AM, Police were dispatched to Home Depot for a male seen running out of the store pushing a cart full of merchandise. According to an anonymous caller, he placed the items in a car, which was occupied by an unidentified person, jumped in and sped off in an unknown direction. The suspect took at least three cases of flooring, multiple spools of coated copper wire and plumbing duct work. The incident is under investigation.
