Land Development Applications



The following is a list of Land Development applications that are currently under review with the Township.  Individual building permits, or building permit applications have not been included on the list.  To request information regarding any of the following applications, please contact the Land Development Office at (412) 486-0400 ext. 307.  Please see below for a list of variance applications currently under review.

18-03 Wildwood Sports Center Revised Site Plan / Lot Consolidation

The applicant is proposing various site improvements at an existing recreational facility located off of Wildwood Road in an LI zoning district, including installation of an inflatable dome structure and construction of a connection building between the existing entertainment building and the proposed dome along with additional storm water management facilities and parking areas.  Other outdoor structures and activities will be removed.  The use is currently located on two adjacent lots that will be consolidated as part of the land development process.

This application will be reviewed by the Environmental Advisory Council on April 2, 2018 at 7:00 pm, by the Planning Commission on April 9, 2018 at 7:30 pm, and by Township Council on April 11, 2018 and April 25, 2018 at 7:30 pm.

18-04 Baierl Chevrolet Conditional Use

The applicant is requesting approval to use a portion of an existing property, previously approved for commercial recreation use, for outdoor automobile vehicle storage.  Although "Automobile Vehicle Storage" is not specifically listed as a use in a Light Industrial Zoning District it may be considered as a conditional use if found to be compatible with adjacent or surrounding existing and permitted uses.  The applicant is also requesting that, if approved, the use may be allowed while a separate application is submitted that will subdivide the area from the main parcel.

This application will be reviewed by the Environmental Advisory Council on April 2, 2018 at 7:00 pm, by the Planning Commission on April 9, 2018 at 7:30 pm, and by Township Council on May 9, 2018 and May 23, 2018 at 7:30 pm.  A public hearing regarding this application will be held during the May 9, 2018 Council Agenda Meeting at 7:30 pm.  

16-18 Tolomeo Preliminary/Final Subdivision



The applicant is proposing to subdivide a lot containing an existing single-family dwelling into four lots on an existing private road in an RB zoning district.

This application is under an indefinite extension pending the submission of revised plans.

Variance Applications

The following is a list of variance applications currently on the schedule for review with the Zoning Hearing Board.  To request information regarding any of the following applications, please contact the Land Development Office at (412) 486-0400 ext. 307.

THE ZONING HEARING BOARD WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON TUESDAY, APRIL 24, 2018 AT 7:30 PM, AT THE MUNICIPAL BLDG. TO HEAR THE FOLLOWING CASE:

CASE NO. 18-06 – The applicants, Michael & Melissa Gaskill, are requesting a variance to the Zoning Ordinance, No. 310, under TABLE A, for a shed that would encroach on the required side yard setback by approximately 6’ on property located at 4289 Middle Road.

CASE NO. 18-07 – The applicants, Michael E. & Laura L. Moser, are requesting a variance to the Zoning Ordinance, No. 310, under TABLE A, for an addition that would encroach on the required side yard setback by approximately 4’ on property located at 2475 Hitching Post Drive.

CASE NO. 18-08 – The applicants, Frederick & Casey Latini, are requesting a variance to the Zoning Ordinance, No. 310, under TABLE A, for an addition that would encroach on the required setback from the street right-of-way by approximately 10’ on property located at 2212 Duncan Avenue.
