A Balanced Budget
An annual budget financially controls the Township after it is adopted and ratified by the elected Township Council. This spending plan, in excess of $13,000,000 for 2014, requires the projected expenditures to be supported by reliable and measurable revenue sources to produce a balanced budget. The Finance Department is responsible for classifying and recording the township’s authorized transactions to provide timely and meaningful financial information to residents, council, and management.
Functions of the Finance Department include accounting, human resources, payroll, purchasing, and treasury. An independent accounting firm annually audits the township and their report is available for public inspection during normal business hours and can also be viewed in the related documents field located on the right side of this page.
